Crafts Card Game
Rules of the game
OBJECTIVE
Match three types of cards – Material, Craftsman, and Object/Tool – to create unique and interesting craft combinations. The player with the most matches at the end of the game wins.
COMPONENTS
Material Cards (e.g., wood, clay, fabric, metal, etc.), Craftsman Cards (e.g., carpenter, potter, seamstress, blacksmith, etc.), Object/Tool Cards (e.g., chair, vase, dress, knife, etc.)
SETUP
Shuffle each deck separately – Material, Craftsman, and Object/Tool. Deal a certain number of cards from each deck to each player (adjust based on the number of players). Place the remaining decks face-down in the center as draw piles.
GAMEPLAY
Players take turns in a clockwise direction. On a player’s turn, they draw one card from any deck (Material, Craftsman, or Object/Tool). The player can then choose to keep the card or swap it with one in their hand. The goal is to match three cards of different types (Material, Craftsman, Object/Tool) that logically go together to create a craft.
MATCHING
A valid match consists of one card from each category. For example, a match could be Wood (Material), Carpenter (Craftsman), and Chair (Object/Tool). Encourage players to think creatively about the matches they make.
SCORING
Players earn points for each valid match they create. The player with the most points at the end of a predetermined number of rounds or when the draw piles run out wins.
OPTIONAL RULE-TRADE OR STEAL
Allow players to trade cards with each other or steal a card from another player during their turn.
WINNING
The game can end after a set number of rounds or when the draw piles are empty. The player with the highest total points from their match.
