Our community platform is designed for all stakeholders in the crafts sector—from craft professionals and associations to researchers, policymakers, educators, economists, consumers, and young people. We invite everyone who believes that crafts can build a better future to share their experiences, best practices, and recommendations. Your insights will help us build a comprehensive picture of the obstacles confronting the crafts sector and guide innovative solutions for its revitalization.  Join us in shaping an environment where authenticity is celebrated, innovation is encouraged, and the legacy of crafts is preserved.

Our collective experience has shown that revitalization requires a multifaceted approach. We must:

  • Understand & Valorize: Recognize the cultural, social, and economic importance of crafts. This means celebrating heritage, promoting sustainability, and ensuring that artisans receive public recognition for their work.
  • Safeguard Authenticity: Protect genuine artisanal techniques and regional heritage. Many traditional practices, including specialized services like heritage restoration, are at risk of disappearing due to the pressures of globalization and mass production.
  • Enhance Transmission, Training & Certification: Secure the future of craft by ensuring that skills are effectively passed on to new generations. We advocate for innovative educational models—combining formal instruction, hands-on learning, and digital tools—to develop flexible certification systems.
  • Innovate Business Models: Empower small craft businesses to thrive by integrating sustainable practices and modern marketing strategies. Artisans face challenges such as high VAT, excessive administrative burdens, and unfair competition from larger entities offering lower-quality alternatives.
  • Document & Archive: Preserve endangered techniques through thorough documentation, ensuring that even if certain practices fade, their cultural significance remains recorded and accessible.

By addressing these challenges together, we can build a comprehensive picture of the obstacles facing the crafts sector and drive innovative solutions that support both product-based and service-oriented traditions. Join our community and help shape a future where every craft—whether it’s creating handcrafted goods or restoring heritage structures—receives the recognition and support it deserves. Your insights and collaboration are essential in forging an ecosystem where heritage, innovation, and sustainability thrive.
