On the 21 of June, the Ethnography Department of the National Museum in Gdańsk presented the results of the BRICKS project.
As part of the BRICKS project, the National Museum in Gdańsk organised the Polish dissemination event during the annual Kashubian Day and Summer Ethnographic Fair. The event presented the project’s objectives, activities and key findings on non-formal craft education while celebrating the richness of Poland’s living craft traditions. The dissemination event included a presentation of the BRICKS project and a meeting with basket weaver Regina Białk, highlighting the role of non-formal education in the transmission of heritage craft skills. Throughout the day, visitors also took part in traditional craft demonstrations and workshops featuring basketry, Kashubian embroidery, ceramics, folk sculpture and horn carving, illustrating the importance of community-based learning and intergenerational knowledge transfer.
