30 January 2026 - General Conference, European Parliament, Brussels

Building on the CRAFTOUR Policy Recommendations and the insights from the Policy Round Table with the European Commission, this conference brings together leading individuals, institutions and organisations from across the crafts sector. Designed to maximise impact and visibility, it brings important and innovative voices to the stage, sharing stories, experiences, visions, and outlining strategic recommendations for the revitalisation and revival of Europe’s crafts ecosystem.

29 January 2026 - Scientific Conference, University of Antwerp

Featuring interactive roundtables, keynote speeches, and research paper presentations exploring the five CRAFTOUR pillars, the conference offers a full
day of engagement with diverse craft-related discussions. Visitors will also
have the opportunity to enjoy posters, photographs, and films
dedicated to crafts throughout the event.

10 December 2025 - Policy Round Table

Presentation of the Policy Recommendation document to European Institutions.

9 -14 June 2025 - Bornholm Meeting

During the HEPHAESTUS Symposium the Craftour partners will meet in person in order to work and consolidated the Policy Recommendation draft. In addition partners will have a chance to follow the conference as well as to participate in the panel discussion on the 13th of June. The panel is part of the Folkemødet festival and will be the first time that the CRAFTOUR partners will provide insights into the Policy draft they are working on.

26 May 2025 - Plenary Meeting

Online working session. Recommendation from all working groups of CRAFTOUR for first approach to the consolidation of the Policy Recommendation document. First draft review and exchange between five pillars. Preparation meeting for the HEPHAESTUS Symposium in Bornholm.

25 October 2024 - Official launch of CRAFTOUR

The official launch of CRAFTOUR took place on October 25th at the Salon International du Patrimoine Culturel 2024 in Paris. The CRAFTOUR Initiative unites six EU-funded projects with 75 partners from diverse sectors—including crafts, culture, formal and non-formal education, research, technology, humanities, anthropology, computer science, industry, and data analysis—across 21 European countries, all working together to effectively support the revival of European craftsmanship.
