The Living library offers a unique opportunity to learn about the experiences of “living books” who are people with some kind of difference or uniqueness, in our case craft professionals. In a Living library, small groups of people engage in conversations with the “living books” to learn about their life stories and ask questions. Through these interactions, both the “living books” and “readers” gain a deeper understanding of one another. This, in turn, can lead to new ideas and perspectives. By providing a platform for face-to-face conversations and storytelling, the Living library helps to break down barriers and build connections between people. It promotes self-awareness, empathy, critical thinking, and a broader understanding of the world around us.
